Die Timetables für die Fantasy Filmfest Nights sind raus. Splice und Daybreakers laufen Samstagabend in Köln.

OK here are the films that I find interesting shown at the upcoming Fantasy Filmfest. I won't be able to watch them all (time, money etc.). And some films will be in theaters in the next months (like Case 39), so I exculded them from the list.

So, the Fantasy Filmfest is over. In the next days and weeks I plan to give you some reviews about the films I saw. And since I forgot to do that last year, I will do mixed posts with opinions about this and last years tops and flops.

Last years biggest flop was Tales of Earthsea by Miyazaki Jr.. I wont write about it because frogspace and sashatwen already ranted about them last summer.

I haven't made up my mind about this years flop yet but even though the short film programm ("Get Shorty") was great (and really bad and boring last year), the two Spanish short films were crap ("Por Que Hay Cosas Que Nunca Se Olvidan" and "Las Horas Muertas").
Why not continue with the shorts to start this review-series? :-)

Had a mild migräne today so I had to stay home instead of joining friends for "Rudelkucken" (going in a pub and watching football together).
So it's only me and a cup of tea watching tv at home. And just wanted to say WTF?!?! That was a fast goal, I didn't really see it. Go Schweini go!!! :-)

Whoa, have to change my bet from getting a 1:0 with penalty kicking at the end to something like 2:3 or 4:3 for Portugal. I'm extremly impressed by our teams performance so far, but I still think we can't beat the Portugese. ... but maybe the Portugese have a bad day, who knows.

Rented Anamorph (heard it's good) and AVP2 (just for some brainless fun). Will post if they are recommendable.

I really didn't expect them to mimic the Italian team and suddenly turn from a bad and boring performance to good and entertaining football. I'm still sad that the French didn't make it into the quater-finals.

So, fast ist es schon vorbei. heute noch "La Antena" mit frogspace und morgen "The Last Winter" und "Day Watch" mit sashatwen. Über zwei der Filme, die ich gesehen habe, hat frogspace schon zwei gute Berichte geschrieben "Tales from the Earthsea" und "Wolfhound". Damit wäre auch der bisherige Träger des Titels "Gurke 07", nämlich Earthsea, abgedeckt. 9 Filme habe ich gesehen, und 3 stehen noch aus - 3 sind leider für mich ausgefallen. Und den ein oder anderen Film kannte ich schon vor dem Festival. Nun die frage mit welchem Film beginnen. Ich habe mal nachgeschaut was heute und morgen noch in Köln läuft um euch vorzuwarnen oder euch etwas zu empfehlen.

Eigentlich wollte ich noch was zu "Retribiution" schreiben, aber ich käme dann zu spät zum Kino.
Wer morgen in Köln noch einen etwas anderen Geister-Krimi aus Japan sehen will sollte ihn sich anschauen. Wer Cops der Sorte "introvertiert, wortkarg, Whiskytrinkend und Trenchcoattragend" mag und auf eher dezentere Gruseleffekte steht ist hier gut bedient.

Nach gestern abend und heute nimmt die Planung fürs diesjährige FFF Gestalt an. Es wird wohl wieder Cityhopping Köln/Bochum geben. Ich bin mir aber immer noch nicht schlüssig ob ich am Freitag mit frogspace und vielleicht noch ein oder zwei Leutchen in "Wolfhound" gehe oder mit Baldur in "Joshua"...

I've been browsing the list of movies shown at the Fantasy Filmfest, watching trailers and reading reviews on imdb.com and the FFF fanpage.

I've already seen "The Messengers" and "Dead Silence", and I will borrow "Bug" from a friend.
