doctor who musings

I'm not sure yet what to think of the current season - only one episode to go and still so many open questions. Reminds me of the feeling befor the last episode of" Lost" :-/
I dind't like "Let's kill Hitler" for various reasons. But the episodes afterwards were better (ranging from ok to good). I'm also wondering if the Moff has lost himself in his stories timestreams and mysteries. I hope he does a good finale - Rivers story is turning into a hughe fanwanky mary-sue imho :-/
and now some specualtion about possible solutions/story twist, no spoilers only speculations of mine and speculations (not based on spoilers) I read elsewhere, put behind a cut in case even speculaton is some form of spoiler for you I really wonder how Moffat will resolve the storyline of the Doctors impending death. The speculations are many fold from everything being a dream or alternate universe to a Doctorshaped Thessalecta (that robot from the Hitler ep). I think the specualtions about the Ganger Doctor not being dead are a possebility. I'd put my money on a timey-whimy resolution involving time jumps back and forth, alternate & aborted timelines, cracks, paradoxes etc. I also have a strong guess that the eyepatches show a picture of the "silence aliens", enableing you to always remember them.
The whole timeline of the Doctor and his companions is a bit confusion at the moment.
Now real Spoiler warning
Spoilers, sweety
Spoilers
warned you
- I guess the BBC has to save money. After the X-mas special there won't be any new Who till autumn 2012 :-(
- The x-mas special will be set in the 30/40s and very loosely based on the Narnia novels (more "inspired by").
- Daleks will return next year ... maybe on x-mas
- some pics from the finale http://www.bbc.co.uk/doctorwho/dw/news/bulletin_110927_01/The_Wedding_of_River_Song_Preview_Images, the Doctor is reading a book about ... knitting o.O LOL And Rory looks like the secret lovechild of parrallel-universe Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart and Sergeant Benton ^_^
