"I must ask you to leave the doughnut." *smirks* I'm still not over it :D

Yes, I watched "Iron Man 2" on monday and I enjoyed it very much. Of course not a profound movie, but it's funny and entertaining - especially the witty dialogue.

We watched the dubbed version (the OV is not shown at the Kinopolis yet and the times at the Metropolis are always too early and too late for me during workays)and it was a s good as the dubbing of the first film. Very well translated dialogue and everyone had their usual voice. I realized that for me Downey is slowly slipping into the group of actors in which I'm more acustomed with their original voices than their dubbing voices (uh, grammar??). While when I think of Samjuel L. Jackson I hear his dubbing voice in my mind. Sam Rockwell as Hammer was very annoying - and it didn't help that he was dubbed by the awesome David Nathan :-/ But I love Agent Coulson dubbing voice :-)

It tries to stay rooted in reality like the first one, but not doing the dark&gritty realism of the new Batman. That still makes me wonder how they will mix it with the upcoming films to lead into the Avengers movie. I guess Cap won't be a problem, but Thor ...

... although the introduction of the new miracle-element for Tonys reactor was mostly fantasy and not very scientific ... I guess it's vibranium (they dind't name it) and after a bit of wiki reading I found out that it's called vibranium in the novelization of the movie. Whaaah, I'm such a comic-geek, it sometimes scares me ^_^ A propos vibranium ... there's a nice little iconic prop cameo :-)
At least Tony realizes that he can't work on his own all the time (needing a sidekick) and appears (imo) dissapointed that they don't want him for the Avengers anymore although he doesn't want to join the (the "super-secret-boy-group" ^_^) ... maybe a tactic? Making him beg to become part of the team?

War-Machine was superflous in IMO, but mostly because I find him boring. And I whish they had chosen another villain. He was well played but ... well not my cup of tea. The problem is that (as far as I know, I never read Iron Man comics only Avengers) that Iron Man doesn't have "cool" villains. No Magneto, Doom, Venom or Kingpin.
But Nick Fury and the Black Widow were awesome, I would've loved to see more of them. Makes me really really looking forward to the Avengers film.
