I've got a nasty cold again. But this time the doc ordered to take antibiotics. So I hope this 'getting a cold once a month this winter' is finally over.

What's wrong with you my dear people roaming my f-list? Only 4 out of 10 solved in my movie quiz??? Thats weak! ;-) all the rest amazingly solved by [livejournal.com profile] jimaine42 ^_^

For the first time I have to confess. I made some pics but with my analog camera (yes I still own a camera that makes phots on film) and I haven't bought a new scanner yet. So it will take some time to show them to you. I was never really interrested in Berlin but a friend and I got our hands on cheap tickets for train AND a musical. So I had my first ticket to our capital. We hadn't much time for sightseeing plus Susanne insisted on going to the zoo (if a zoo or carnivale is near you would have to knock her out to prevent her from not going there ^_^). It was the same weekend as the Berlin film festival (we didn't thought of that when booking) so the place was full of tourists. We stayed in a nice guest house near Kurfürstendamm. Like the rest of the city mostly flooded by Spanish (why??? Do they have holidays in february? Do Spanish people love the Berlinale festival?) tourists :-). We walked down the Ku'damm and went to the KaWeDe (a place like Harrods in London, and I was a lot more impressed by the KaWeDe than with old Harrods!). Saturday evening we went to the musical. "The fearless vampire killers" based on the film by Roman Polansky. It's great!!!! I already knew and loved the music and the play itself is good, too. Unfortunetely the stage of the old "Theater des Westens" is small but they made the best of it. The theater itself is very beautiful and is perfect for musicals like "Phantom of the opera" or "Elisabeth". But considering things like "good view for everyone", enough room in the corridors or "leg-space" it's not that good. I really prefer our Colusseum theater in Essen. Good view, spatious and wide (ok, it's an old factory hall, so no surprise). What I didn't know before I saw him on stage, was the fact that the first "German Pop Idol" winner plaed Alfred in the musical. That was the only season of Pop Idol I watched and he didn't impress me in the show. Now I can say he indeed has a very good voice. But he was totaly miscast as Alfred. Anyway, the musical has earned a high rank among my favorite musicals :-)
Berlin on the other hand - it's ok. I don't have the overwelming feeling that I have to see more. If I go again I want more time to see more of it. But other cities rank higher on my "must visit (again)" list.

So, I'm off back to Bochum for the weekend.

Next week I' m going to buy tickets for the Ring musical in Bonn, I didn't made it this week because of the cold. If anyone wants to join me and [livejournal.com profile] frogspace, we plan to go on the 22nd of March.
Anyone interested in going to the "Blue Man Group" (Oberhausen)in April, March or June? I heard they are closing in June and using the place for another show next fall.
If anyone considers going to "Mammia Mia" in Essen, do it now. They are also closing in June. It's really worth seeing. I didn't believe it myself, but it's so much fun!!!
