Yeah, the design of the TL robes prooves again that the English have no fashion sense ;-) But they looked a lot less silly than the old ones. Have you seen the Confidential? You get to see some short clips with the old robes and the even more hilarious guard uniforms (the helmets!!! :D) Compared to that the new design is a big improvement :-) And I just love the Time Lords. They offer a very big variety of characters, from friend to foe. There is of course Romana who, like Donna, wasn't all in awe of the Doctor and liked to tease him, hit him etc. Then Drax who is a kind of Gallifreyan Han Solo. Borusa: in one icarnation he seems to be the only sensible TL around, one regeneration after he flipped the lid and behaves a lot like Timothy Daltons Time Lord. Or Straxus from the 8th Doctors audios - a dry burocrat confronted with "real life". And of course Andred ... *swoon* I totally understand Leela - I would toss all of the 10 Doctors aside for that handsome Gallifreyan, too. So I always wanted them to return - and that's why I fear that they will only be around for the next 60 minutes of Doctor Who :-(
just why was my first thought upon seeing him "He and ol' Jor-El probably were best mates at some intergalactic rotary club..."?! *scratches head* I looove this image. Someone needs to write a drabble like this. Unforunately I am busy. Am of to Essen for a board game afternoon. BTW, we should do a board-game afternoon with sashatwen and skippytoad and cooking ^_^
Edit: somnehow I envison them sipping Romulan Ale with Lucius Malfoy, Lilandra and Ba'al. I don't know how Lucius popped into that picture ... weird.
