one night in Tokyo

I saw "Afterdark", a piece based on a story by Murakami, at the Schauspielhaus Bochum yesterday. I can only recommend it - go see it! The actors were great. They used only few props but together with the videoprojection in the background it created a cold neonlight city atmosphere. It's strange, funny and a bit spooky. Some people, connected by fate and their pasts, during a night in Tokyo.
It's a debut performance and the piece was developed at this theater, so unfortunately this recemmondation is only for local people. If you haven't read anything by Haruki Murakami yet, do that instead. I only read some short stories, but after reading them and watching the play I am eager to read his novels.
