X-Men is comic series that stuck from childhood days til now and in that I never really lost interest - only stopped reading for some time (no German publishings back then, bad authors etc.). The only other comic is Spider-Man . (I'm excluding the great French language stuff here like Asterix ^_^ My mum read Asterix or the smurfs to me before I could read. I still love those BD.) So ... why ...

1. Many interesting chacters, not just one single hero that you might get bored of - yep I guess thats the best point, the many great characters


2. Changing team mix but old charactes are still turning up or returning


3. *snikt* Wolverine ... already awesome before Hugh Jackman


4. *bamf* Nightcrawler of course mein Liebchen


5. The Phoenix (sadly underused and molested in X-Men 3), ok Jeans numerous deaths and resurrections are annoying - but legendary ;-)


6. Usuallly I despise High School settings in stories/series but I like it in X-men


7. Joss Whedon!!! Astonishing indeed.


8. The spin-offs: totally spaced out european Excalibur, X-Factor (by Peter David) and Alpha Flight featuring the one and only Northstar


9. Introducing the mutant concept into the Marvel Universe plus how the society treats them


10. The drama! LOL half of the time it annoys me and half of the time it's fun. And show me a comic series that can rival the Summers/Grey family history err future ... whatever

Oh, and talking about Marvel. I stumbled over this icon by twigcollins. It sooo true ^_^
